This earphones have a bad rap online, I purchased them a few months ago and they arrived a little scuffed but Thomann customer service was very helpful and sorted out the issue without a problem with a replacement.
The sound out of the box is not great IMO, some other users of this headphones claim that it requires a lot of hours of "burn-in" I have found that using the following EQ settings, from Rotary 1990 made the headphones sound excellent out of the box:
, I am very happy with this purchase, the wood accent fits the current style of my room and I purchased them at a very low price on sale. I do have open backs from Sennheiser and I wanted to try a closed back earphone as well, in the summer where I live it's extremely hot so I haven't been able to withstand the heat and use them regularly during this season.

Great headphones after a modification.

I installed a filter from Custom Cans, that reduses the 200Hz bump. With this mod they have a deep extended very good base, nice mids and slightly rounded treble. Very comfortable to wear and none fatiguing to use for several hours . Great for a lot of different kinds of music. With modifications, highly recommended for the price.

Ich hatte den HIFIMAN SUNDARA gleichzeitig mit dem beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X, dem Audio-Technica ATH-R70 X und dem AKG K-712 Pro da zum testen. Dieser hier hat sich durchgesetzt.
Er ist bequem zu tragen, hat einen detailierten sound und ist gut verarbeitet. Er ist eher analytisch als musikalisch, was ich präferiere.
Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden.

Im Anfang dieses Jahres hab ich bei Thomann viele Kopfhörer, die 200-300 Euro kosten, gehört und vergleichen. Und der Sundara-c war zufällig mir aufgefallen, und hab gehört, der hat echt einen unerwarteten Klang mit weniger als 170€, da paar bekannte Modells wie AKG K701, K702 und paar andere teureren Modells direkt daneben hängten, der klignte aber sogar besser als denen, mir war echt überrascht. Deshalb hab dann danach doch bestellt. Man hat natürlich immer höher und höher Erwartung, aber ich kann mindestens sagen, in diesem Preis, der ist einer der besten.
