good osund but questionable design

PROS
Balanced, Neutral Sound,comparable to the Sennheiser HD 650.
Incredibly Light, provide comfort during extended listening sessions.
Good Soundstage & Bass Response: The open-back design provides a spacious soundstage, and the bass response is good for open-back headphones.
CONS
The headband design lacks sufficient clamping force for my (smaller) head, leading to a loose fit.
Not sure if this is a pro or con but it seems they are slightly rounded somehow, compared to Senn HD 650 and also Senn HD 490 Pro, let’s say that gives more of a closed back sound, might be also because they do not seem to fit my head and are too loose.
Was thinking to give it 3 stars because I think this is a big design issue, since I’ve not had problems with any other headphones fitting on my head.
However, since they would probably be amazing if I had a larger head, I gave then 4 stars.

The frequency response is really good, lower mids are lovely (to my ears) and not too harsh on the top end. There is a drop off at the super high end but that's okay.
The band is REALLY thin and the protective band is held with small magnets and had to adjust for my supply large head but once I have the band adjusted, they feel...well almost not there cause they are SO Light!
Very happy mixing on these and will be using them for my next single and EP

Good sound but bad fit

While the headphones sound good, they do not fit well on my head or (I suspect) any other users head.
The cups are designed to be parallel to each other and do not have hinges to allow for rotation like most headphones have. The metal holding the cups allow for some flex to let them fit a bit better, but it does not flex far enough or quick enough.
As a result the cups only rest on your head in front of your ears without touching behind the ears. This is bad enough on its own, but with glasses the issue is even worse.

Mit unserer Band sind wir langsam an dem Punkt angekommen, Aufnahmen im Proberaum zu machen. Und wie in so vielen Bands bin ich als Bassist für die Technik und somit auch für das Mixen zuständig.
In der Vergangenheit habe ich dazu einen Hifi-Kopfhörer, den AKG 272HD verwendet, was aber nicht gut funktioniert hat, weil der den Mittenbereich einfärbt, also musste ein neuer her.
Thomann schickte passenderweise eine Anzeige und so habe ich den Audio-Technica ATH-R70xa dann kurzentschlossen bestellt. Guten Gewissens, nachdem ja auch der Vorgänger sehr gute Reviews bekommen hatte.
Das erste Probehören zeigte dann die Qualitäten des offenen Kopfhörers. Ein schön ausgewogenes und breites Klangbild, hervorragend ausbalanciert! Kein Vergleich zum AKG, der zum reinen Musikhören aber dennoch eine gute Wahl ist.
Beim Mix der gerade in Reaper offen war, als der Briefträger klingelte, konnte ich sofort einige Dinge korrigieren, die ich vorher nicht gehört hatte.
Ich habe keinen Vergleich mit anderen Studiokopfhörern, aber ich bin überaus zufrieden mit der Qualität und der Neutralität der Klangwiedergabe.
Beim Tragekomfort ist eigentlich auch alles prima, auch für mich, der einen sehr großen Kopf besitzt. Ich erinnere mich an einen Beyerdynamics, den ich früher mal hatte, der einen für mich zu kurzen Bügel hatte und deswegen unbequem war.
Allerdings gibt es eine Sache, die ich nicht verstehe:
der Metallbügel des AT ist ja zusätzlich mit einem Kunstleder/Stoff-Riemen ausgestattet, damit das Metall nicht am Kopf anliegt. Das ist prima.
Aber die Befestigung des Riemens ist zu instabil! Sie geschieht durch Magnetverschlüsse, die aber nicht so recht halten:
sobald man den Hörer etwas "robuster" aufsetzt, springen die Verschlüsse auf. Schaut dazu mal das Produktfoto mit dem Kunstkopf an, linke Seite. Da ist es auch passiert!
Rechts sieht man, dass der Riemen eine Schlaufe bildet, da hält der Magnet, links ist er ab und der Riemen baumelt in der Gegend herum.
Ich habe schon mit dem Gedanken gespielt, dem Problem mit einem Tropfen Sekundenkleber zu Leibe zu rücken, aber das wäre echt schade...vielleicht hat ja jemand einen Tipp parat?

ein rundum toller Kopfhörer mit einem kleinen, mangelhaftem Detail.
