Gran monofonico analogico Roland

La Roland con la collaborazione della Studio Electronics ha tirato fuori dal cilindro un ottimo sintetizzatore monofonico. La sapienza della trentennale Studio Electronics ha saputo incastrare nel formato "Boutique" un sintetizzatore monofonico a tre oscillatori basato sul loro vecchio SE-1x.
Il formato boutique ha le sue pecche, le dimensioni sono molto ridotte e alle volte ci può essere qualche problema nel leggere i parametri che si modificano ma non è un vero dramma. Sonoricamente è pazzesco, un sono carico e vivo che solo un synth analogico può regalare. Ci sono aggiunge interessanti tipo la Cross Modulatione la FM che permettono di andare ben oltre i classici suoni da synth monofonico. E' presente un delay digitale Lo-Fi interessante ed un sequenziatore molto potente che permette la funzione di Parameter lock per un paramentro per step, il che rende questo sintetizzatore al pari di molti altri synth di prezzo molto superiore.

Consigliato a chi ha poco spazio e cerca un synth analogico potente e versatile

Huge Sound Small Synth

This piece of kit is incredible. IT's not for the faint hearted though. If you don't know sound design I'd give this product a miss for now. You really need to know your stuff with this machine. But that said, it doesn't take much to tweak the presets and get your own sounds.
The synth is very small and like most of the boutique models you will struggle to use if you have biggish hands.
The sound is insanely good. It's loud and packs a punch. You can make anything from your sub bass lines through to your melodic long release pads and synth lines. The built in sequencer is ok. I find the plastic buttons a little annoying at times, they feel a bit cheap and flimsy for me. but I'm used to having equipment with keys or ouch sensitive pads.
If you take the time to learn this machine and get over the initial shock of how teeny it is, you'll definitely be using this in your main set up! Also added bonus - unlike the boutique stuff, this doesn't run off mini usb 5v. It comes with its own 9v adapter! I'd highly recommend getting the k25m also

This is an amazing little analogue synth. Minus is small format, but a big big plus is the sound which is unbelievably good.

What Id been missing all these years

When my SE-1 started having issues after 25 years, I decided I should treat myself to the SE-02 whilst the other was away being cared for. Id always loved the organic SE-1 but the envelopes were never snappy like I'd imagined a mini-moog would be so I used it differently and loved it for its strengths. The SE-02 has the same thick full sound but is punchy and tight in a way the SE-1 never was. This is a really chunky synth and exactly what Id been missing in my studio. Weirdly this made all my other synths come alive as each one was now free to be what it was best at and the SE-02 could fill the gap between them. This has got rid of my Gear Aquisition Syndrome ..... mostly....!
