Okay but one major flaw!

I am a professional cellist and I use this case every day.
Pros:
Nice compact shape that fits my relatively large cello well.
Handles and straps are great.
Stands up easily when open or closed.
Plastic material seems strong and sturdy
Cons:
Not enough latches!
Case does not close properly.
Case constantly squeaks when being carried on the back.
The case is great in every way except that I think it needs more latches. There are no latches on the bottom right, and top left side of the case which means it does not seal shut properly. When being carried in particular ways the case comes apart at the bottom right corner and this would be easily fixed with an extra latch there. It seems to me that latches have been removed to keep the cello under 4 kg so that it can be marketed as 3.9 kg. The 'missing' latches also mean the seal rubs against itself when it is being carried on the back and the case constantly squeaks which can get very annoying.

All the problems would be fixed with 2 extra latches so it is very frustrating that they are not there.

Great Cello Case and Excellent Customer Service

The Gewa Air 3.9 Cello Case is a great piece of kit. It is sturdy, stable and robust whilst being surprisingly lightweight and easy to handle at only 3.9kg. The case closes and locks very easily and the lining and internal fixtures are well designed and of good quality. The customer service was also excellent and the case was delivered very swiftly and in perfect condition via UPS. I am really pleased with the product and the customer experience. Tolles neues Case von Gewa

Wir haben lange auf das neue Gewa Cello case air gewartet und nun ist es endlich erhältlich.
Das Design ist elegant und die Funktion top. Der Koffer schliesst perfekt und kommt mit drei Verschlüssen plus ein Verschluss mit integriertem Zahlenschloss aus. Praktisch!
Stehend aufgeklappt hat es eine super Stabilität. Kein Problem beim Aus-und Einpacken! Innen gibt es einen neuen Gurt für den Boden des Cellos. Hält wirklich fest.
Die coolen Knöpfe am Bogenhalter sind auch sehr praktisch.
Ausserdem ist es auch noch günstiger als das x-lite Model.
Das Gewicht ist sicherlich ohne Träger gemessen. Ich konnte das nicht überprüfen. Für unsere Zwecke reicht es.
Über die Stabilität bei Stoss oder Unfall kann ich noch nichts sagen. Gerade ist es drei Tage in Benutzung. Es ist allerdings aus einem anderen Material als die anderen Gewa Modelle.
