After having a lower wattage Vox and a 40 watt Fender Blues Deluxe RI, I must say this is a keeper. It was built and designed to be used, and be your best friend for every occasion. The built in attenuators (bedroom/headroom switch for ex.) make easy to use at home as well. Sure they sound better cranked and load, but still, this is an amp you can use tamed for your bedroom.
You get a typical Orange sound with super sustain and a nice middle, that you can always dial back if you're looking for more fendery EQ.
The natural overdrive of this amp is so good it just makes me put dirt my pants all time. This crunch is so much more sophisticated than the Marshall sound IMHO. The tube driven FX loop is heaven, makes your FX's sound so articulate and loud.
The clean channel doesn't have an EQ but that's a minor problem for me, and it can be solved with an nice EQ pedal or a light OD as well.
This is an all rounder AMP for every genre from hard rock to pop. It was made to be very very usable. My former Fender Blues Deluxe had so many flaws compared to this: thin od channel, avarage fx loop, upside down text over the pots (INSANE)., heavy AF.
SO: If you need an AMP that has a character, a super dirty sound and can be used for gigging and practicing as well, this one is perfect for you.
