Supremely comfortable rim, lively sound... excellent
Had wondered about trying this particular model for some time, and Thomann's excellent price encouraged me to give it a go...
Very glad I did - the rim is comfortable (with a softer bite than most warburtons), the response is good and the sound is full of life. Easy to brighten up, but not fundamentally too bright to darken when needed.
Coupled with a #7 Backbore, I'm finding it a superb Soprano Cornet mouthpiece.
Not quite the ease in the extreme register as narrower and/or shallower models, but the sound, control and comfort make it a worthwhile trade for a strong set of chops.
As usual with Warburton products, the tolerances are superb (matches up perfectly with the backbore) and the finish is flawless.

Warburton Sandoval
High quality as usual from Gerry Warburton. The bite is on a soft side, so more for flexibility than attack, and it feels a tad larger than a regular C3, similar to 1C. Sounds great with a medium open backbore like Ron Romm. For all-round playing, leaning more to pops and jazz than legit.
