I bought the Schaller 3-D4 C bridge for a self-built Telecaster bass with a 34" neck. I've bought Schaller tuners and strap-locks before which have been excellent, and the 3-D4 C bridge is of the same wonderful quality.
I've always hated setting intonation on traditional bridges, but the Schaller is really simple and quick to set up. String spacing is adjusted by spinning "the roll" the strings rest on, intonation with the enclosed hex key and string height with a flat-head screw driver. The bridge comes with an extra metal plate/spacer to place under the bridge, which can be helpful, if you need more height.
To summarize, the 3-D4 C is an excellent bass bridge either for a new bass like mine or as a replacement.
