Remo BX-0814-10 Emperor X Black Dot

I am a drummer with a (perhaps excessively) powerful playing style, and bought this snare head after getting frustrated with having several (cheap) snare heads break in a short time frame.

I like to tune my snare high, and this head delivers a crisp, snappy tone with a lot of attack, which I like. It doesn't allow for as much rebound as some other snares I've used, but for me personally that is not an issue.

It has also proved to be a very durable head, having survived countless hours of play with no straining or deformation.

Lastly, the aesthetic is quite novel and I am personally a big fan of it.
