Initially I bought this as a strap for my Harley Benton p-style bass, a role in which the strap proved out to be a decent solution.
The build quality is good and the adjustment options provided are decent. It is my first leather strap and having previously owned straps made of canvas, I was not entirely sold on leather after using the strap for a year. However, in all fairness, I might be better off playing lighter instruments.
I preferred the strap on the bass instead of on my Gretsch Pro Jet for some reason. It's alright on the guitar but I feel like it could use with a bit of padding (or I could do with a masseur's appointment).
Overall the strap has proven to be dependable and I would recommend buying one in case you want a leather strip and don't mind the lack of padding on this one. However, this will most likely only be an issue if your instrument is a bit heavier, you play a lot while standing and if you, like me, suffer from stiff, sore shoulders.
