This is not battery-powered like other Volcas
When ordering, I managed to miss the fact that this device doesn’t have an option of using batteries. I already had two Volcas and I just thought that this would be like them in that respect.
I’m going to solve that problem with these MyVolts cables:
- <a class="article link" href="https://www.thomann.de/fi/myvolts_volca_power_splitter.htm">myVolts Volca Power Splitter</a>
- <a class="article link" href="https://www.thomann.de/fi/myvolts_ripcord_9v_dc.htm">myVolts Ripcord 9V DC</a>
Once I get those I should be able to feed the mixer from a power bank.
The price isn’t awfully steep per se, though not cheap either (especially as I’ll pay extra for those cables...), if you compare it to some other mixers. I’ve had a hard time finding a battery/usb-powered mixer, though, so this will do for a while at least, even though it is a bit noisy. But the whole Volca phenomenon isn’t about hi-fi, anyway.
