GHS Fast Fret

Ostin purkin kyseistä tököttiä noin kolme vuotta sitten ja siitä eteenpäin aine on ollut satunnaisessa käytössä. Kielistä saa mukavan liukkaat ja tästä on hyötyä etenkin pidemmissä äänityssessioissa. Ainetta tuntuu riittävän purkista ikuisesti.

Lyhykäisesti kuitenkin
Plussat:
- Purkki on riittoisa
- Liukkaus on miltei taattua ja helpottaa soittamista
- Kielet pysyvät hyvänä pidempään
- Helpottaa äänittämistä

Miinukset:
- Joidenkin päällystettyjen kielien kanssa yhteisvaikutus voi olla tahmea
- Tavara pysyy kyllä purkissa, mutta puikon kansi ei meinaa vuosien jälkeen pysyä kiinni

Loppujen lopuksi ihan 4/5 tuote, tekee mitä sanotaan. Varokaa päällystettyjä kieliä.

Works great on both electric and acoustic strings. Clears up the sound, and makes the strings feel more responsive. This is probably simply because after cleaning the strings (with anything) they become less sticky/grimy, so you could probably get that effect however you clean your strings, it doesn't have to be GHS Fast Fret...

But here's the thing, there probably isn't a more convenient way to clean your strings than GHS Fast Fret. Keep it in your gigbag and it's always there when you need it. No spills, no hassle, just a quick wipe of the strings and your done. And the box is large enough so you don't lose it and small enough that it fits nicely everywhere.

The only complaint I have are the razor-sharp edges of the metal box. And I'm not kidding, the edge really is sharp enough to cut a really nasty wound in your finger ruining your playing for weeks. Absolutely terrible design here. The boxes used to be plastic, and not have this problem. I can't think of any good reason why they switched to razor sharp metal instead. Extremely poor decision! So one star comes off because of that.

So in conclusion : Superb product, but with one flaw that might end up ruining your gig or recording session if your distracted while opening the product.

It does help to keep your strings cleaner but the most effective way of keeping your strings clean is washing your hands before playing!

Nevertheless I do like Fast Fret for it does make it a bit easier to slide your fingers on the strings especially when you have brand new set and you want to play hours and hours. Even though I have played guitar over ten years my fingers might still start to shed if I have a new set of strings and a need to practice for a fast solo for hours.

Some might think this product is a rip off but I think that its prize is reasonable if you consider how easy it is to use and how compact it is.

I cant say much for the protection of strings because my playing style is so harsh that the first string from a new set breaks after 2 weeks of playing.

Overall I like this product. I use it maybe couple of times a month per guitar not every time I play. It does make playing a bit more effortless and it also gives a brighter sound when your strings are getting older.

Kielten soinnin saa yllättävänkin kirkkaaksi tätä käyttämällä. Sähkökitaran kieliin tämä toimii parhaiten, koska vahvistetussa (ja etenkin säröytyneessä) soundissa Fast Fretillä käsiteltyjen vanhojen kielien ja ihan uusien kielien ero ihan ei ole kovinkaan suuri. Akustisen kielissä ero on sitten suurempi. Käsittelyn jälkeen kielet ovat mukavan liukkaat jonkun aikaa, mutta itse pidän tärkeämpänä tuota soundin paranemista. Toista vanhojen kielten ongelmaa, eli vireenpidon heikkenemistä, ei tällä tuotteella kuitenkaan pelasteta, vaan siihen auttaa vain uudet kielet; toisaalta ei tällaiselta tuotteelta voi odottaakaan sitä, että sillä pystyisi muuttamaan vanhat kielet uusiksi.

As an easy to use and mess free first aid this product is good for a string cleanup and fingerboard oiling. However, it won't replace a meticulous cleaning, so don't count on it as an only way to treat your strings and fingerboard. The biggest problem is that you don't really get under the strings with this, and that's where the most of the sound-clogging and tuning problems inducing gunk lies in your strings.

That said, having a quick coat of this on your strings before playing surely improves the feel of the strings on fingers. The product is mess free and will last yu some time even on frequent use. It's been a staple mate of my cleaning kit since I bought my first one.

Poistaa yllättävän paljon likaa kielistä ja otelaudasta sekä tekee liukkaan soittotuntuman, jota tällä tuotteella hainkin.
Tuotetta voi käyttää niin usein, kuin jaksaa. Siitä ei ole haittaa ja kestää aika pitkään.
Yksi miinus on mukana tuleva valkoinen liina. Liinasta lähtee pientä valkoista nöyhtää ja niitä pitää puhdistuksen jälkeen irrotella kielistä. Sekään ei ole suuri ongelma, mutta suosittelen kuitenkin ostamaan paremman puhdistusliinan edes jossain vaiheessa. Viimeistään sitten kun valkoinen on täysin musta liasta.
