The build is solid, and the shoulder strap has metallic connectors so it should last quite a bit of weight (unlike my moog lp gigbag which had plastic connectors, broke during use in abt 2 months).
There is enough room for a bunch of cables in the front pouch, enough for most needs I'd imagine - I was able to fit 8 short XLR-XLR cables, one euro power cable and still had a bit of room left!
My only minor complaint about this rack bag is the size of the zippered opening in the backside - wish the opening would be the same size as on the front (ie 100% of side area). This makes it slightly awkward to mess around with cables.
I really dig the rack bag as it is much lighter than a flightcase style portable rack case. Of course, for heavy touring etc a flightcase style case is more durable, but this is excellent for more casual use when you want to take a micpre etc for a bit of location recording every now and then.
