The point of using loop-end e-tuners is to maintain the standard string length between the tailpiece and the bridge. The effect on the tone can be hardly noticeable. One clear advantage is that with these tuners it is impossible to damage the belly by overturning the screws on the tuner, unlike when using the standard ball-end e-tuners.
Compared to the more popular Wittner e-tuners, the Götz tuner has a larger screw head, which makes it a bit easier to turn the screws when tuning.
