I'm a bedroom guitarist playing mostly for my self. This was the amp I decided to buy, and so far I've had no regrets.
This amp is like custom built for my needs. Very good, rich sound through my 1x12 or headphones, not too big, not too powerful, but full of well thought features.
+ Honest valves/tubes and honest sound. I'm sure you could find something to nitpick, but there really isn't much to complain.
+ Foot switch
+ FX loop. I've been experimenting with light pedal hoardery, so this comes handy.
+ Headphone jack with a cabin modeller. This is a really good thing for late nite Gary Moore impersonations.
+ Built in attenuator, (5W, 1W, and 0.1W) I have it on 1W and volume is set to about 9 o'clock. Neighbors still talk to me. 5W should be pretty sufficient for small band sessions if it ever comes to that.
+ You can throw pedals in front of it and it only gets better.
+ And it doesn't look bad either.
- The Reverb sounds more like a short hall than an actual spring thing, but honestly, it's still pretty good.
There's also this mysterious Trans Atlantic Knob.
Put it to USA and the amp gets a certain Fender vibe, Turn it all the way to UK and it sounds a bit like a really snarky Vox combo. I would be happy with a switch but many have found the big sea in the middle rather interesting.
