C
Great amp!!
Carvito 07.01.2025
A few years back i got the usa player version of the cub. It had lots of issues-microphonic preamptubes, distortion in the digital reverb, distortion when using the effectsloop. Also had major ratteling in the cab wich i couldnt figure out where it came from. Although sounding good, it cost too much to accept those flaws.
So now a new revised version is out with new curcuits. So i went ahead and bought it.
All those flaws on the first model where gone and it still had amazing great sound. The eq is different from the older model, looks more trad..but isnt. seems like the treble and middle interact with eachother a lot. For me, most of the tone is in the middleknob. So much happening all over the spectrum when u turn it. I just find a spot with enough middle n bass, and then just turn the treble so i get a bit of "sprill".
It handles pedals in a great way and the reverb is to die for, very full and lush without being in the way.
ANy cons? Well....one major ...the lightup logo is amazingly bright, tht together with a gloss faceplate for the controls wich everything reflects in..and that the knobs are black, isnt really thought thru i think. On a dark stage u cant see anything if u wanna adjust.
So im def keeping the amp, so far ive taped over the logo with white tape so its not so bright and ive ordered white replacementknobs.
