Good amp, but you have to accept a few facts:
1 The PHAT button is not a sound booster ( as stated by the manufacturer) but instead another type of attenuator. Because only when you press it (switch on) you get the declared power of the amplifier - 5W
2 Forget about attenuators on the back. When you activate them, you will not definitely get a nice tube sound, you would rather need an ear hearing aid.
3 The tube in the preamp is OK, but the Bugera power tube definitely needs to be replaced. I m not the first to say it.. A good and relatively inexpensive option is the SOVTEK EL84
4 Bugera builds small tube amps for 4ohm speaker output... There are not many quality 4ohm speakers on the market and even 8ohm speakers steal quite a bit of power of amp, I guess around 30%. The solution is e.g. building a two speaker box equipped with two 8ohm speakers in parallel setting . Such a setup results in a 4ohm input...
5 A nice tube sound is produced by the amplifier at volume and gain settings for 12 hours at least. Than that's worth it!
I hope my observations help
