I am using these strings with my Yamaha VA5 viola and I?m happy with this product - these made my viola sound bright and clear. The tone of these strings is very bright, vivid and clear.
Since my viola is a new one and has not yet played in much the tone is a bit harsh and these strings amplify the harshness of the tone but I don?t mind it since it is honest and makes me work more on my playing to balance out the tone.

I use these Dominants on a Luis & Clark carbon fibre viola. The improvement in sound and ease of play is remarkable. It is not easy to find and set up suitable strings on carbon fibre, but these are the best I've tried, and the viola a once again a pleasure to play. The strings do take a few days before they stop losing pitch, but well worth the wait!
Diese Saiten spiele ich schon seit Jahren und bin außerordentlich zufrieden. Sie erzeugen großen Ton, haben eine besondere Wärme, die den Klang der Viola unterstützen. Ein Gutes ist auch, dass man mit dem Nachstimmen nicht lange zu tun hat, wie z. B. bei Pirastro-Saiten, bei denen man fast eine Woche nachstimmen muss, bis sie "halten". In zwei Tagen hält die Stimmung.
Für meine Orchesterviola mit '43 - er Länge habe ich von Thomastik Wien sogar längere Saiten bekommen!!

Jag har spelat dessa strängar i flera år och är extremt nöjd. De producerar ett fantastiskt ljud och har en speciell värme som stödjer ljudet av viola. En annan bra sak är att du inte behöver lägga lång tid på att trimma om, t.ex. B. med Pirastro-strängar, där man måste stämma om i nästan en vecka tills de "håller". Om två dagar håller stämningen i sig. Jag fick till och med längre stråkar från Thomastik Vienna för min 43-lång orkesterviol!!

J' utilise ces cordes sur un rebec (vièle à archet) depuis de nombreuses années.
Jouant souvent dans des églises romanes magnifiques mais souvent humides, j'ai souvent problèmes d'accordage avec des cordes boyaux .
Le son de ces dominant me convient surtout dans les graves de mon instrument qui correspond à un alto.
