My previous pedals was Iron Cobra, which I was very satisfied with. But I wanted to try the direct drive, and so I tried these out. Have used them for 6 months now, and starting to get used to the new feel and technique. Super responsive, and comes with a huge variety of settings. But they've already begun to produce squeaky noice from the left pedal, and the sprint which holds the Z-link and the joint together, began to wander out as I played... Got it hammered in, and locked it with stripes -problem temporarily solved. I've been very careful around them, not much transportation, and still this happens. Maybe I had bad luck, but it seems to me this is just what you get in this price range. If you want top quality products, you have to stop relying on Pearl products, atleast the not highest tier ones. My whole kit consist of Pearl, so I'm very familiar with them, and now I'm shure I need to start looking somewhere else. Overall, I'm still happy with the pedals, serves it's purpose. A good choice for directdrive-beginners! But looking forward to try something else, maybe Czarcie Kopyto..?
