Great headphones, sound great, are comfortable and seem to be built extraordinarily well. The only problem is the coiled cable, which is a bit of a pain in the ass, but apart from that, it's perfect!

Solid build, clean sound if you got a proper sound driver

Replaced my ATH50 with this one in my home studio, a very solid build. Requires a proper sound card that can drive the headphones due to their medium/high impedance (250). They are not travel friendly in any way shape or form, can't be folded so just be aware of that. Also, if you're coming from the ATH50-world, please note the difference in mid-range response. Takes some getting used to, but I like my new normal. :-)

I'm using these for recording and mixing as well as for listening to music. They perform very well, I haven't owned a lot of different high end earphones so I can't really do any comparisons for you. I can however compare with the sound from my KRK VXT6 pair and I have to say thay complement each other perfectly in a mixing environment.
+ great build quality, feels very robust and german :-)
+ airy, well defined sound that reveals a lot of details I never heard with my previous pair.
- no removable cable

Impressive resolution and stereo width. Very detailed sound.
The treble peak is not to be taken lightly, though. I find music with any type of harshness in the treble painful to listen to. Like, anything with hard hitting natural sounding cymbals. Which is the type of music I work with. It can be fixed with EQ, but i need them to work out of the box. Too bad, because in all other aspects they sound incredible.
I found them to put uncomfortable pressure on the jaw.
Construction-wise they feel solid. The only minus is the cable which is not detachable.
