As a wedding DJ, I want to have several types of sound system in my arsenal, which I adapt to different situations and needs.
In addition to the already existing 12" and 18" woofers, I wanted to have quality 15" woofers with which I would do events for 50-150 people in small or medium-sized spaces. After a long search, reading and comparison, the choice fell on the Turbosound IQ15B.
I like the speaker because of the following advantages:
- the shape of the speakers is great, they fit exactly on the back seats of my car, not big like 18" subs. The width of the sub is the same as the 12" sub that I have
- the weight is good, 30 kg, which means that it is a strong and loud woofer, and it is not a problem for me to carry it, I don't need a trolley or wheels
- from the back is a real small mixer with several connection methods, the menu itself is very detailed and has a lot of options, which do not exist even on much more expensive subs
- the sound is fantastic, the bass that is heard is very nice and pleasant, exactly what I need, it does not go as low as an 18" sub, but it is more pleasant and nicer to the ear
- this sub is 130 db, and the top speakers I use are 12" with 134 db.
Both work at 0 db (12 clock) and this setting gives me a perfect club feeling on the dance floor with lots of bass, without being hard on the ears. Real beauty and enjoyment of sound quality.
- With this setting, sub and top speaker at 0 db, I do events with 100 people on the dance floor, and that's a load of 50% for both speakers, which means they have a lot of reserve. This sub is able to handle even more people and larger spaces without problems. The bass sound is not distorted, even at higher amplification.
I'm a big fan of Turbosound speakers, for the price what you get is great, more than it costs.
I think I will use them more than I thought, because I can use them for a lot more situations than I thought. I can rest the 12" and 18" subs for a while, and maybe sell some of them, because I won't need them anymore.
