Mellow crash

So far am loving this. Have bought for a church kit, where we want a warm, mellow sound to the whole kit. Have replaced a pair of 14" Zultan Caz hats (which are excellent) with a pair of 16" crashes (Zultan Caz as bottom hat, this CS as top hat) and it's dropped the fundamental pitch of the hat substantially .. which is partly just the size change of course .. but given it a warmer, dryer tone too. This is not a setup for hard hitters, but has done exactly what I hoped. Didn't play it much as a straight crash, but what I did, I loved it for that too. Would use it very happily as a crash, particularly for jazz.

So far my experience with the CS series is very positive. The Caz are incredible value: the CS are worth the bit extra.

Footnote. Have bought cymbals from Thomann several times now and their packing has been an issue. This time round their packaging department had clearly upped their game. A very welcome change.

Full of colors

I compare Zultan with a Sabian B8, the zultan sounds much better, it is full of sounds and the bell is almost a ride bell.
It is my first B25 and is different of any cymbal that I already played.
It is not a top of line, but sounds nice. I like the effect of the drum stick fast on it.

Ich spiele das Crash nun schon seit einem halben Jahr und bin durchweg zufrieden,

nach kompetenter Beratung in Treppendorf hatte ich die Wahl zwischen diesem und dem Yin Crash und entschied mich für das Zultan CS Crash. Zuvor hatte ich noch nie etwas von der Marke gehört und war schon im Shop sehr überrascht, die teure Bratpfanne hat durch erstaunlich gute Verarbeitung und einen ausgewogenen, dunklen und vollen Klang überzeugt. Es braucht sich garantiert nicht vor den teureren Modellen verstecken!

Es besitzt eine vergleichsweise lange Ansprache und klingt lang aus, was es zu einem sehr durchsetzungsstarken Begleiter im Bandalltag macht. Auf kleineren Gigs konnte ich es sogar schon als Crash-Ride einsetzen, was erstaunlich gut funktionierte.

Im Großen und Ganzen kann ich das Crash jedem, der ein sehr gutes Becken zu einem wirklich anständigen Preis will, empfehlen! :)

Hi,

This is are absolutely hi level cymbals ! Zultan CS are handmade in Turkey in B25 alloy. They sound soft and pretty dry : you can play whatever you want with it.
It sounds pretty like Zildjian Avedis serie with a little more complex sound.
