Ho comprato questi pickup ormai da un bel po' di tempo per metterli su una gibson lpj in downtune (accordata in Do standard). La prima cosa che io e il liutaio abbiamo detto è: questa chitarra ha preso vita!
Sono pickup un po' compressi ma con un carattere tutto loro, molto potenti e con dei clean niente male! Magari non consigliati per il jazz ma per fare del rock o del metal, anche estremo, sono perfetti. Non sono esagerati sulle basse e sulle alti, medie belle dominanti ma senza essere impastati, anzi, probabilmente sono i pickup con più definizione che abbia mai avuto in vita mia.
Consiglio di provarli, non ve ne pentirete!

montati su una esp che precedentemente aveva jb e jazz, il suono è cambiato radicalmente, in particolare la definizione in tonalità basse (come con le accordature usate dai periphery).

Great pickup set for modern metal tones.

Bridge pickup is nice and clear while neck pickup is smooth and warm sounding.

The build quality is really sturdy as you would expect from a set of seymour duncans.
Looks great with the black hex polepieces and the gloss black Seymour Duncan text on the matte black finish.
Be careful though! It's really easy to scratch the matte black finish on the pickups.

Wanted to to pickup replacement for something more premium.
After pulling hairs with the endless reviews and possible combinations of bridge/neck pickups I stumbled upon these. 1 for the noice warm fuzzy sound that warms your soul and the other for the spine chilling gain knob turned to 10 soul suckin shug sound that makes your neighbors call the police and the dead walk the earth again.
Kinda on the expensive side, but boy are they worth it.
Also I heard he's a very nice guy so it's even better.
