Feels Like Playing a Real Piano! 🎹

As my first keyboard with fully weighted hammer-action keys, the M-Audio Hammer 88 Pro has been a revelation. The keybed offers a responsive and expressive feel, closely mimicking the touch of an acoustic piano. Beyond the keys, the controller is equipped with 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, 9 faders, and 8 knobs, all assignable and perfect for DAW(Ableton 11) integration. Features like Smart Chord and Smart Scale modes, along with an arpeggiator, expand creative possibilities. While the OLED display is a bit small, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. For anyone seeking a realistic piano feel combined with versatile control features, this keyboard is a fantastic choice.

Amazing, with one exception

This keyboard is amazing, especially for the price - that was the case for the first month or 2, then some of the keys would randomly stick when letting go of the key

The keys are somewhat light so this is probably very playable even if you're not a pianist. I've played the piano all my life and to me this thing feels great! The action is inspiring, like a real instrument. I've recorded a few tracks on it already and the dynamics are exactly the way I would want them to be.

The build quality is great, keys faders and knobs feel good, but be warned, this thing is huge and weighs quite a lot compared to normal keyboards (without hammers). If you plan to move this thing a lot, that might be a problem. The casing is also quite tall, compared to a normal keyboard, which is very noticeable if you set it up on your desk. Doesn't bother me though.
The hammers are absolutely worth it. Playing with expression works great, it picks up on all the nuances as it should.

I use Ableton and it integrated seemlessly into the DAW, plug and play. I have yet to try out all the aftertouch stuff as I am new to synths, but as far as I can tell the amount of features plus the build quality you get for this price is totally fantastic. I'm very happy with this new addition to my bedroom studio. :)

Amazing midi controller

I have been using this unit for a while now and have nothing to complain about. Connecting to the computer and setting it to Logic Pro is super easy. The keys feel good and behave the way they are supposed to. The faders and the pads are also a feature I appreciated since they increased my workflow. This is good value for the money, and in my perspective, the best one in that price range.
