Harley Benton Fusion-T HH EB BK

Ho acquistato questa chitarra che per le sue caratteristiche dichiarate mi aveva ben impressionato. I tempi di attesa sono stati brevi da che Thomann è stato rifornito. Pacco curato è arrivato a destinazione senza alcun danno.
La chitarra arriva ben confezionata in dotazione le varie chiavi a brugola per la regolazione dei pivot del ponte, le sellette, per lo scorrimento/bloccaggio della leva tremolo e il perno per la regolazione del truss rod che è nel tacco del manico.
La chitarra ha una vernice molto brillante e ben stesa e non presenta imperfezioni, così come le finiture e il binding. L’accoppiamento delle componenti è di tutto rispetto.
Di seguito vi dico quello che è ho rilevato dopo averla suonata per qualche ora, ribadisco la mia soddisfazione con qualche nota di miglioramento:
- secondo me il capotasto, sotto la corda del SI è stato scavato troppo e di conseguenza la corda ha una leggera stoppatura sul primo tasto;
- anche con un uso della leva moderato l’intonazione non rimane perfetta. Gioverà cambiare le corde e forse le molle poi vedremo;
- secondo me i pickup non avevano un attacco graffiante, un po’ scavati sulle medie, quindi li ho sostituiti e ora ho quello che voglio, in ogni caso sono pickup che hanno una buona definizione e chiarezza;
- vernice bella, forse un po’ delicata;
Arriva già con un buon setup e il feeling con il manico è piacevole così come con il body che non soffre si quella spigolosità sulla pancia tipica delle telecaster. L’accesso ai 22 tasti è agevole.
Non mi piace la posizione del volume vicino alla base della leva del ponte che richiede un po’ di tempo per prenderci la mano.
Le meccaniche fanno piuttosto bene il loro mestiere e accordano in maniera precisa.
Non mi posso esprimere sul lavoro fatto dal ponte perché non sono in grado di capire se l’intonazione non rimane perfetta a causa del capotasto, delle molle o delle corde: spero sia colpa di queste ultime.
Credo che un liutaio possa tranquillamente correggere queste leggere imprecisioni così da rendere questo strumento in un “gran bello strumento”, dall’estetica indiscutibile e dagli accorgimenti che ti fanno amare ancora di più uno strumento concepito 70 anni fa.

Prima di tutto devo complimentarmi con Thomann per la precisione nel confezionamento e per la rapidità!
Devo dire che non sono un professionista.
Suono però da molti anni con gli amici in una garage band.
Possiedo diverse chitarre di marca e devo confessare che questa non sfigura davvero!
Ben rifinita con caratteristiche più che sufficienti in questa fascia di prezzo. Forse il suono non è molto potente ma non ho ancora provato con il gruppo!
Il giudizio finale non può che essere ottimo: nei negozi di musica difficilmente ho provato una chitarra in questa fascia di prezzo che abbia queste caratteristiche. Bravi!

Qualità prezzo imbattibile. Suono credibilissimo non mi aspettavo così tanto dai pickup. Rifiniture ottime, chitarra ottima dopo chiaramente un giusto setup, il ponte tiene benissimo l'accordatura e che dire. Non riesco ancora a capacitarmi di quanto costi confrontandola con altre chitarre di stessa fattura. è la seconda Harley Benton che compro nel giro di 2 mesi e penso che ne acquisterò ancora.

After watching countless videos on YT, and reading reviews here on the Thomann website and various guitar-o-forums, I, like many of you here, decided to pop my Harley Benton cherry so to speak, and this little beauty caught my eye, calling to me like a siren,, lol enough of that. :)
So here is my honest review for others to consider.
First, let's get the bad out of the way; the package from Thomann arrived rather worse for wear, there was a huge hole in the bottom of the outer box, and the guitar was delivered upside down. Thankfully, the guitar sustained no damage whatsoever,, phew!
On to the guitar; after checking for any possible damage, my eye was drawn immediately to the output jack socket which was hanging off on one side, after tightening it up with a Philips, it still doesn't sit flush properly to the body on one side, and there's a tiny, but visible gap. Next thing that drew my attention s the fact that the wand of the pickup switch felt really, really loose. Again, both mounting screws were really loose, after a quick tighten though, no issues.
Finish wise, there are a few dimples, marks and areas where the undercoat can be seen under the edges of the black finish, especially the headstock, but you have to look really, really closely.
Right, now that's done, let me assure you reader, that aside from these few minor issues, I have completely fallen in love with this guitar. I've been playing over 30 years, I've played and owned guitars cheap, damn expensive, and in between; including a lot of the 'big names'. I can honestly say I think this Harley Benton stands up with many of the best of them, certainly guitars I've owned and played that cost 3-4 times what this guitar does.
The setup from Thomann was excellent, and needed very little fine tuning, little lowering of the action, and good to go. The guitar finish for this price is genuinely astounding, few issues aside, the wood binding is delicious, the fret - job, amazing. No sprout, no rough edges, a beautiful thick slab of ebony, with gorgeous clay dots (although stated as ivory), the locking tuners feel sturdy enough and they function perfectly. The Roswell pickups are a real surprise though. These things sound absolutely great. If classic rock and dirty blues are your thing, look no further,,,, and then, a click of the coil tap, and we're into (almost) twangy tele country. But seriously, AC/DC and Zeppelin have never sounded so good in my hands to my ears, bliss.
If like me, you're reading this review, and you have yet to burst your HB cherry,, go on,, do it, you won't regret it, Thomann have a great thing going here folks, an amazing guitar, and at this price point? Astounding.
