Sound, quality, looks all in one guitar.

Right out of the box, I started looking for any damages or imperfections. The guitar came in perfect condition. Even the set-up was almost perfect which I was quite surprised. I guess you get what you pay for.

Clean Tone: Decent, considering having Emg's on.You can get decent clean tones with few effects and tweak the amp a little bit. Crystal clear clean tone, yet you can hear the pick ups screaming. Quite satisfied personally speaking. It's all about personal taste anyways.

Overdriven - Crunchy Tone: Perfect as expected. You get the tone right away.

Metal Tone: The guitar has got you covered on this part too. You can get a massive sound, great for chugging. Even in lower tuning you can get clean and tight metal tone.

Lead Tone: Sound that cuts through, neat and clean.

Overall: Great guitar, great quality, easy and comfortable to play. The satin neck helps moving around the fretboard smoothly. The neck is thick enough to have a good grip, thin enough to help you shred with ease. An instrument that has you covered for any style of music.

Almost a year after i bought it and i love that guitar. The fact that its an E-II concerned me in the beginning but it's as good as the old ESP standard series, compared to a friend's one. The sound is very nice and tight, the only cons i could find is that in a fret it had something like a little scratch and the locking tuners are plastic, which in that price they should have been metal, like the standard series. Despite these things, the guitar after almost 1 year is excellent.

Eventhough mine was supposed to be new, it arrived without plastic on the pups, a bad toggle switch, and a bunch of bad frets. B-stock if I've ever seen one.
Thoman did give me some credit towards a local PLEK job, but overall, a huge disappointment.
Save your $ and buy an LTD EC1000.

La guitare est assez fine comparé à une Les Paul mais très bien équilibré en position assise ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas sur les guitares ayant cette forme.
Le manche absolument incroyable malgré une première impression « pas assez large » qui très vite s’estompe en comparaison des manches de ma Fender, Gibson et je ne parle même pas de mon Ibanez (RG505) !!!
On s’y fait rapidement et on s’habitue très vite au confort à jouer sur un manche pareil.
Les frettes sont assez grosses mais là aussi ça devient très vite une évidence et contrairement à ce que j’aurai pu penser n’oblige pas à une pression plus importante sur le manche, bien au contraire, les notes sonnent toutes seul.
Il me faut toujours un peu de temps pour prendre en mains et m’habituer à une nouvelle guitare pourtant cela s’est fait immédiatement avec cette gratte.
L’accès au aigue est beaucoup plus facile que sur ma Les Paul (Slash 2008 Goldtop) qui a pourtant un manche plus fin qu’une LP 50’ ou 60’.
Les Micro EMG 81 et 60 sont très axé rock ou métal et sonnent magnifiquement sur mon Mesa Rectifier et mon Mark V. Les micros n’offrent pas une grande polyvalence, cette guitare est faire pour envoyer du gros son même si le 60 en position manche permet d’avoir des sons clair très flatteur, rond et crémeux. Bien plus que l’EMG 85 monté dans la même position sur mon Ibanez.
Le blocage des cordes remplis parfaitement son rôle, une fois serré, plus rien ne bouge.
Les finitions sont parfaites. Pas le moindre défaut. La couleur mat est sublime.
Un instrument véritablement à la hauteur de sa réputation et de celle de la marque.
Ce premier pas chez ESP attise ma curiosité sur les autres modèle tant on touche à la perfection avec une guitare pareil.
L’instrument n’est pas à la portée de toutes les bourses et je n’ai pas essayé LTD mais il est évident que j’irai en essayer pour comparer, mais dans tous les cas on en a pour son argent et on ne regrette pas un seul de ses euros.
Achat que je referai sans aucune hésitation.
Le seul défaut de la guitare est qu’on a du mal à la reposer !!!!!
