Great humbucker for metal.
Using a (push/pull) switch, the sound of the single coils surprised me. Nice crisp and bright sound.
Used it in a Squier Jazzmaster together with a DiMarzio PAF Pro. A very good match for my taste. The highs can be rolled off with the tone control.

O
Not in my taste

I have to admit, I was attrated to these mostly because of Synyster Gates and I am not saying they are bad, but they are definetly too hot for my taste and playing. I did have some black/death metal writing sessions where they were PERFECT. For metalcore tho? Not my top pick.

Pros:
+huge step up from stock pickups
+perfect for death/black/thrash metal

Cons:
-very high output (subjectively)
