Mit diesem Pickup habe ich meinen alten Yamaha RBX 360 von passiver P/J- auf aktive P-Konfiguration umgerüstet. Der Sound hat sich dadurch massiv verbessert; er klingt rund und warm, die Bässe sind weder matschig noch zu dumpf, und mit aufgedrehter Tonblende gekommt man trotzdem knackige Höhen, auch ohne Bridge-Tonabnehmer.
Insgesamt genau was ich gesucht habe und m.E. genau richtig für Blues/Jazz/Soul usw.
Der Einbau war dank den Stecksystems recht einfach. Die Platinen an den Potis sind nicht sehr groß und passen problemlos, zusammen mit der 9V-Batterie, in das Elektronikfach des RBX 360. Einzig der Anschluss an die Klinkenbuchse war etwas tricky. (Leider konnte ich nicht die mitgeliefterte verwenden, da dieser Bass die 'lange' Ausführung benötigt.) Aber auch hier kommt man ohne Löten aus, wenn man die Steckverbindungen mit der Zange gut festdrückt.
