Ok, but very short boom arm
Dave01 19.07.2020
I have been using these stands as well as the DW 6710UL Straight Cymbal Stand, and thought that this stand might give a little bit more flexibility in terms of cymbal placement. While it does offer a bit of flexibility, the boom arm is so short that it is not much of an improvement over the straight stand. It also does not go nearly as high as the straight stand. When the boom arm is fully extended, the stand is not sturdy enough to hold a large cymbal, like a ride. I would use this stand maybe if I needed to place a splash or small crash somewhere tight and needed just a few more off of the center of the base of the stand, but for most applications, the straight stand would be just as good if not better.

Great stand
Vihren Hristov 08.01.2025
Great vintage looking stand I put my 22" ride (2345 gr) on. And this is the stand made for light ride cymbals, since the short boom is really useful for positioning the ride over the bass drum. Of course you can not compare the 6000 UL series stands stability to the 9000 stands. Even the regular 6000 stands are a bit more stable. But it does the job just fine. It's really light (even the boom is made from aluminium), simple and if you like the look of it, it will definately hold your cymbal on it's place. It's great that dw put small aluminium memory lock on the middle section - something I miss a lot on the straight 6000 UL stands.
