The beyerdynamic M 90 Pro X is a universal large-diaphragm condenser microphone and is part of the Pro X series launched by the company in 2021. It features a balanced frequency response and delivers high-resolution sounds in professional recording quality. The microphone’s capsule is internally mounted in a way that effectively prevents the transmission of mechanical vibrations and handling noises, and the scope of delivery includes a pop filter with a gooseneck mount, which together with the integrated high-density foam suppresses unwanted noises such as plosives. The accessories supplied also include a carrying case and an elastic shock mount to allow the M 90 Pro X to be used with a microphone stand.

Das auffallend leichte Mikrofon besitzt keinerlei Einstellmöglichkeiten. Besonders auf Hochpassfilter und Vordämpfung wird verzichtet, was bei preiswerten Mikrofonen vielleicht so ist. Ebenso verhält es sich mit der Richtcharakteristik der Echtkondensatorkapsel: Diese ist eine feste Niere.
Die Aufhängung ist aus leichtem Plastik, ob das lange hält oder bricht, mal schauen. Meine Stimme hat er gut abgebildet, die Stimme setzt sich gut im Gesamtbild durch, ohne überspitzte Höhen. Vereinzelt können explosive Lippenlaute trotz Poppschutz sich auf der Aufzeichnung wiederfinden (aber eher sehr selten). Für den günstigen Preis ein Supermikrofon, gerade für Aufnahmen in der Jugendarbeit oder für den schmalen Geldbeutel.

nice budget microphone

I was tempted to buy the microphone after seeing some some youtube reviews. My aim was to have an alternative to Slate Digital ML1/VMS bundle for vocal lines recording, as SD is a bit to bright in my opinion, no matter which mic simulation I use and as so it doesn't fit some of my songs. I tested M90 PRO X with VMS preamp/Lyra 2 sound interface and in comparison with SD ML1 for the same vocal lines. Unfortunately I found M90 PRO X sounding significantly flatter and duller than SD ML1 so I decided to return the microphone. On the other hand the microphone is nicely designed and solidly crafted, includes mounting, pop filter and protective bag, so within the nice price range it would be good choice for the purpose of streaming youtube podcasts.

Super Mikrofon!

Ich habe das Mikrofon jetzt seit einem Jahr und kann nichts schlechtes darüber sagen. Es ist super verarbeitet und bietet einen sehr klaren Sound. Gerade für Sprache ist es super geeignet, weil es sehr genau und detailliert aufnimmt. Auch das Hintergrundrauschen ist ziemlich niedrig. Am Mikrofon selbst kann man zwar nichts einstellen, was ich aber nicht schlimm finde. Von mir gibt es eine absolute Kaufempfehlung!
