The Orange PPC 108 is as tiny a guitar-box as you will find. If it wasn´t for it´s rich orange color and the nice "old-school" decals, no one would even care to take a look at it.
Problem is, that although it is a thing of beauty and built up to high Orange standards, including a wooden cabinet and solid edge-protectors, it´s sound leaves a bit to be desired - and therefore may not be looked at for it´s acoustic perfomance, I´m afraid...
Plugged into an Orange Micro Terror, which is a great amp, the PPC can go pretty loud, but the sound lacks lows and highs. Mids are plenty, but their definition is flat. Changing the settings on the amp won´t help a lot, as the PPC simply can´t produce the tonal range, that you would expect of the Micro Terror.
Of course, a tiny speaker put into a tiny cabinet will not produce a 4x12 sound. And no one is going to buy it to achieve that. But even if I take it for what it probably should be, a small and affordable speaker for practising at home, I was expecting a little bit more from my favourite amp-builders. If it just wasn´t for it´s sheer beauty... :)
