After a year of use I am very happy with this little device. Workflow is very smooth and the fact it can run on batteries or a powerbank is great! After recording all the instruments in my studio I can take it anywhere to do all the chopping and editing :) It has some limitations that can be easily overcome with a little creativity. Faders and knobs feel great. I would totally recommend it to a beginner beacause of its simple interface and ease of use. If only Thomann would release a cozy little case for it - I would buy it in an instant :)

I don't use most of the features but it gives me exactly what I need: the ability to get ideas down quickly without getting lost in a sea of options in some computer program.

Wow, klein, aber fein!

Das Unboxing war schon mal toll - alles nur Pappe, außer der Displayschutzfolie. Das Warten hat sich gelohnt! Ob mit beigelegtem Netzteil, eingelegten Akkus oder einem Sabarent USB-Hub via PD - alles klappt perfekt. Der Stromverbrauch selbst ist minimal, keine nennenswerte Erwärmung! Mein erster Eindruck und Schnelltest: Wow, klein, aber fein und das mit einem Touch-Farbdisplay, wofür ich altersbedingt meine Brille aufsetze und den kleinen Finger benutze. Eine Stifteingabe wäre noch cooler... .
Ohne µSDHC/XC geht allerdings nichts, also gleich mitbestellen, ebenso einen geeigneten USB-PD-Hub zum Anschluß an den PC. Auch ein Midi-auf-USB sollte bei Bedarf vorhanden sein. Dazu am besten gleich die ganzen Downloads für das R12 auf der Zoomwebsite checken.
Ansonsten ist das Zoom R12 fast selbsterklärend, aber trotzdem gilt es die 198 Seiten Bedienungsanleitung erst einmal zu durchforsten, um alles im Detail ausprobieren zu können.
Ich setze es für Foto-/Video-Projekte ein, um musikalisch im amateur/semiprof-Bereich meine eigene lizenzfreie Musik mit Akustikgitarre, Violine, Mikros, Midi-Piano, Ghosthacks etc. zu produzieren.
Ich denke aber, daß für permanente professionelle Produktionen mindestens ein Zoom R20 die bessere Wahl wäre.
Features und Verarbeitung des R12 bekommen von mir schon mal vorab ganze 5*. Bedienung und Sound muß ich noch austesten.

Interface utilisateur très moyenne

Bonjour. J'utilise le zoom R12 depuis quelques jours .Je constate de nombreux défauts. Il faut télécharger le mode d'emploi sur le site (196 pages). Il faut mettre à jour le firmware à la version 2.30 CBE4 6364. La mise a jour est très compliquée à installer. Il faut essayer de nombreuses fois pour réussir. Il y a une erreur de traduction à la page 48 sur le réglage du magnétisme .L'interface utilisateur est très très complexe. Il est très difficile de revenir à la page principale sans chercher dans le mode d'emploi une solution. L'écran est trop petit. L'utilisation du logiciel Guitar Lab pour les effets fonctionne une fois sur 10. Par contre les enregistrements sont de bonne qualité et les effets aussi. En conclusion c'est un bon produit avec une interface utilisateur catastrophique. J'espère que dans les prochaines mises à jour ce problème sera résolu !
