Reliable monitoring

The Black Lion Audio PG-P Type F features three LED indicators that warn the user of any operational problems. "Ground OK" indicates whether the unit has been connected to a properly grounded power supply: If this LED does not light up, the PG-P Type F must be disconnected from the power source and the fault rectified. The "Protection On" LED indicates that the surge protection circuits are working properly: If this LED remains off, there is a malfunction and the unit must be unplugged immediately. Finally, the "Clean Power On" LED indicates that all connected devices are being supplied with clean AC power.

Stay in phase

As previously mentioned, it is essential for the Black Lion Audio PG-P Type F to be connected to the mains supply in phase, which means that the plug must be connected to the wall socket the correct way round before the PG-P Type F is switched on. If the "Ground OK" LED lights up before the unit is switched on, the mains plug must be disconnected, rotated by 180 degrees, and plugged in again. If no LEDs light up while the unit is switched off, the PG-P Type F is already connected in phase. After switch-on, the three LEDs will then provide the intended information as to the status of the noise filtering, surge protection, and grounding functions.

Impressive quality, totally recommended

Apart from keeping your equipment protected (which is no small feat), this power conditioner has solved some quite annoying noise issues that I was experiencing, such as: electrical noise at the output of an analogue synth, caused by the transformer of the power supply of another synth; some electrical interference in a power amplifier, which was heard as some subtle crackles in the tweeters; with the Black Lion Audio, the noises are GONE! Also, the build quality is very solid, the unit is really sturdy and well built.
I couldn't be happier with the purchase, totally recommended!

Very nice piece of equipment, very solid construction and it did indeed help me with a lot of power issues, it won't do much on any day with temperatures over 35c, especially where I live power lines are so dirty with the heat that even rack mounted pro level conditioners can't do much. Now that the temps have dropped it's night and day though. Highly recommended if you don't want to rewire your whole room with IEC cables and just have something quality that clears your power. No idea why it took so long for someone to do this, studio gatekeepers will gatekeep even clean power I guess.

Didn't fix the problems in sound from the problematic electrical current that some bars have. I bought it for this particular reason and is not working. I don't understand what is actually doing. It's probably just a very expensive power strip. Also some of the plugs are giving me a crazy hard time to plug the equipment. Thankfully Thomann replaced it with a new one that the sockets are OK.
