Splintered then broke

Sadly these sticks did not last long. The red started to ware off as it splintered more and more and ultimately it split far quicker than other sticks I've used since. I used these sticks a lot when I started drumming as I assumed Vic Firth was one of the best brands but I've since moved away after several occasions where this has happened. I would recommend Wincent for the thicker sticks. I've had no problem with Vic Firth's thinner sticks, but I play metal so I don't use them much.

These sticks look more cool than expected

I usually order the the black versions of these sticks. They've shown to be a great purchase for anyone who needs sticks as they and feel just as long as the non Nova versions but at a 3rd of the price.
As for looks, these are probably some of the cooler looking sticks I've owned, I expected them to be like there black counterparts and be a solid black colour, but no these have almost a marble effect on them that just works really well with the initial red colour.
Basically these sticks, are just as good as the non nova versions, look awesome and are a 3rd of the price. A good purchase for any drummer.
