I got the T-Rex as to reduce induced noise and to simplyfie wiring for my pedals.
Simplyfie the wiring it did !
But the T-Rex unit itself is bloody noisy.
Even without load it hums like an angry wasp.
Clearly a cheap and bad transformer that also lacks mechanical vibration-isolation from the metal-chassis.
I've testet it with a "clean" powersource (for sensitive IT-equipment) and it hums no matter what.
Piece of overprized crap !
Oh, and that blue LED is totally blinding.

Very good Power Supply
Anonym 17.02.2017
This powersupply is the backbone of my guitar rigs. It's very powerfull, and have never let me down.
This is a fantastic power supply with a lot of options for powering whatever you can throw at it. It's very neat and small and the range of cables included in the box really should cover everything. It buzzes a little, but imparts no sound on the audio signal.
The only issue I have with this is the heat; it gets VERY hot. I'm running it on 230V, using 5 outs (9VDC only), but only drawing 1.1A of the available 1.5A, with none of the individual outs drawing more than 265mA. After an hour or so this gets so hot that it would burn your hand. It worries me to the extent that I won't leave this switched on unattended. For this reason it would be nice if it included an On/Off switch.
I ordered this because it seemed to be exactly what I needed (and what probably most people who have some but not hundreds of effects to power). One of the main advantages is probably the fact that the outputs provide each 300mA (which I need because I want to power a palmer octobus switcher and some more digital pedals).
I was very disappointed with the Chameleon, I'm not even sure if it was broken or something - It made my fuzz (Black Arts Pharaoh) hum like a planet populated by giant wesps. It also caused noise on other pedals, in fact you could really hear how the noise was getting louder with each pedal connected, even with stuff that would work without power (i.e. lehle dual) and even if the pedals weren't in the audio signal chain.
I sent this back and got a pedaltrain powertrain and am happy with it. Probably not gonna buy any T-Rex power supply in foreseeable future...
