While being thicker than most nylon, celluloid or similar picks I have played, the Dava Jazz Grip also seems softer and more flexible than comparably thick nylon picks. This makes it appropriate for a vast range of styles and situations, so that I've ended up using it for everything except heavy strumming on a steel string.
It is also VERY durable - I have been using all six picks in the set for almost five months and haven't noticed any marks of use on any of them.
It is obviously designed for an extra good grip and to prevent slipping, and in this respect it is designed well. The tip, although sharp, has a softer attack than I usually get using nylon picks, meaning more tonal subtlety as you have to play harder to get the pronounced *pop* when picking. Personally, I like the difference it makes in my tone.
Will definitely be checking out some of the other Dava Jazz picks.
