I wanted to try these brushes for a change from the usual Vic Firth HB - the purple ones - and I feel like snapping accents into the head is more difficult and it doesn't sound as good as with the HB and that is because the handle is made of plastic, which also affects the way these brushes feel in your hands.
The wires are a bit too stiff for me, but I could see other musicians making great use of them. I know for a fact many drummers use them and they sound just great in their hands.

Plastic cover could be tougher

I used them mostly for busking. And when the dynamic goes up, the plastic covers of the brushes tend to snap. Overall sound is good and it is a decent pair of brushes. Also very useful for rudiment practice. If you want a sound that's a bit harder, these are the brushes for you! But try to be careful because they snap pretty easily.

The best of em all.

I use brushes more than I would sticks and I can safely say (having tried just about every brush on the market) that these are the best of em all. The hard plastic handle allows you to get tones on the rims that just aren't possible with the rubber ones, being retractable makes sure you don't end up with mangled up wires and the large triangle at the end allows you to get supper bright sounds on the brass. I used to gig in the Canaries 6 nights a week and I was going through brushes fast until I came across these ones, they really last and can take it if you're playing heavier stuff. I should probably not say on here which ones were the worst but suffice to say, these are what you want from a set of brushes.
