Ultimate AX-48 Pro B Plus

This stand shipped to twice me with a broken top cap assembly even with a completely new unit after claim. Inside the body of the unit the metal support arms which are use to hold your keyboards in place were banging on the body of the stand during opening which in itself is certainly wrong, as the arms should hold quite firmly there and should not touch the body or make any noticeable noise. After the removal of the protective foil the arms fell out of the stand and revealed broken inner plastic holder used to store these arms while transporting the stand. One half of the holders was completely broken, after placing the stand on the floor properly it fell completely to the bottom of the body itself. The second half was also not far from falling apart, but in both cases, this convinient feature of this product was unusable.

Apart from this, in this paragraph I would like to thank the support team of Thomann for being simply a joy to work with. Clear, easy instructions and fast replies lead to actually getting my stand to a perfect condition quite fast even after the claim, which lead yet to another brand new stand with a broken top cap assembly, this time it was in even worse condition (completely broken and stuck in the body of the stand). Thomann ordered only the damaged part for me after my request (which is not even in a range of products that Thomann normally sells) and it arrived very soon after the end of the first claim. This new spare top cap assembly part seems to be made with better plastics and feels more durable so I hope it will last long.

I would like if the brand continues to improve the material quality, because that's really the only hindrance of the design.

The rest of the stand was in a perfect condition first time and even the other unit after the claim was as well. Only this one plastic part seemed to be a problem (atleast for me) on both of them which led me to actually keep it and try to repair it.

In the end with the help from Thomann support team it was possible. I am very satisfied with this product so far. Apart of this plastic part it has a robust but elegant design which convinced me to keep it, there's simply not another keyboard stand that would fit my needs like this one does. Arms, that stay in the same height you set it to even after you fold the stand because of the clamp system, great gig bag for transport (you are even able to attach your keyboard pedals to the stand with some additional work and using the cable management system and transport them with it in the gig bag which makes your rig look clean and setup much faster), convinient boom arm mic stand which when using carefully can save you from taking a regular mic stand with you, additional parts (like another clamp with arms for a third keyboard, which I ordered separately) and most certainly - the super elegant look your rig gets with it.

If you can treat this stand with care while transporting and setting it up, I think it's a good option for you, it is certainly for me so far!

This stand does everything I need it too. Very well designed, easy to use, heavy but manageable. The downside is that it's not at all robust and even taking it out of the bag the first time that plastic carry handle of the stand snapped off in my hand. Not a big deal, and certainly not worth returning the thing to Germany for. Then the thread on the mic stand went smooth, within 7 or 8 shows. Then two of the legs disappeared inside the body of the stand as their spring-loaded pins fell out. It's still useable but I have shake the stand around til the legs align and drop out. The cable clips on the vertical main 'leg' broke on their first use too - just very low grade plastic.

I should add that for the first 6 months I had the stand it remained in one venue where I had a residency, so I was treated carefully and wasn't being thrown in the back of a van etc.

So I would love this stand if it was made with better materials and to a higher standard. I still have mine and I still use it, but it's become a real pain to assemble and pack away now.

I've been through various setups over the years of being a gigging keys player. Overall this is by far the best!
Infinitely adjustable height on both levels included with this product, and more levels can be added if needed(but can't be stored internally)
It folds down very neatly, and with the built in cable management even a large setup can look tidy on stage rather than spaghetti junction which results from most other keyboard stands.
I mostly use this with my Nord Stage 2 76 and while most people who see it worry about stability I can say this does better than it looks, my only warning is make sure you put down the front foot firmly(as per instructions) as this is the only thing which stops the stand falling forwards from a small bump.
4 stars for quality due to the carry bag supplied. Only 1 year on and not moving it every week the bag already has a few holes from the microphone mount, and the shoulder strap connection points. A little disappointing from an otherwise excellent product.
If you have a multiple keyboard setup, or you sing and play this is the stand for you.

Stand works fine but the mic adaptor is a screw and tighten. After a few gigs the threads on the mic arm and stand were worn and I had to abandon that feature. The gig bag has a rip at the top from the same nut pushing against it. Aside from that the arms work fine, it holds an 88 key on the bottom and a 61 on top no probs. No wobble. But I am very careful with it because I don't think it can withstand vigorous road use.
I will ask about a repair as its still in warranty but the design will cause problems again I'm sure, the threads will wear again in time. At 200e I expected a better quality product and overall I wouldn't recommend it.
