Industry standard 6v6 tube
The EHX 6V6GT it's a very good tube, able to provide a very rich tone and a notable lifespan, with a very consistent performance all around.
While used on clean, it shows a tendency to scoop the mid range a bit, providing a thick bass and a glassy high range; all this without resulying in any kind of muddiness whatsoever.
Overdriven, we can appreciate a fantastic harmonic richness, and a great dynamic response, with heaps of sustain if pushed for good.
Putting a classic overdrive such as the Ibanez TS808 makes it really shine.
I personally use it on an Ibanez TSA15H head, and am very happy with the overall performance it gives.

classic 6V6 sound - reliable
I use it as an upgrade for the VHT Special 6. I play blues, jazz, surf, classic rock mainly with strats.
Specs
Looks sturdy. It has a classic size rather than the taller JJ.
Sound
This tube has a full sound with plenty harmonics. Compare to JJ6V6 has more mids, crunch and a bit lower headroom. I use it at home in order to crank the amp easily without excess volume. A nice upgrade to the stock Chinese tubes usually supplied with small practice amps.
It?s the second time I buy this tube for the amp and I am satisfied. Recommended.

Good thing
3 1/2 month ago i bought the Harley Benton Tube Celestion 5 watt amp....great little thing but after 3 months it stopped working due to a failing power amp tube. Thomann send me this one as a replacement. it's well working again and with less noise...the old tube gave bangs and crackles after 2 months....before it stopped completely. Thanks Thomann.

only choice as well
i was buying a tube rectifier 5y3 and this 6V6GT (single) among other things in the order for an old fender champ, but both tubes were the only choice at Thomann, howver i have plugged this tube in, instead of the original RCA usa, and it performed nicely without much difference in tone, however i have noticed a bit of definition . perhaps thomann only kept the best choices in their offering.
Packaging wise it is stange that this tube came without paper wrap inside the box.
so extra care should be made by thomann when shipping.
Overall I am happy to buy from thomann whenever you have different items in your list a one stop shop.

Rich and sweet
Solid and robust
Nice rich harmonics and when driven gives a full, round non-metallic distortion
In my Princeton Recording it gave a fuller mid response, particularly on cleans
Works nicely overdriven by a Big Muff Pi Ramshead - not harsh, but a creamy sustain

Great upgrade
This is a nice upgrade from stock ruby tubes or similar. It provides a very sweet almost hifi tone for clean signals and distorts nicely when pushed. I have tried tung sol 6v6GT's which sound very similar but are more expensive. The EH is a very good value product in comparison. Adequately packaged and appears to be robust in construction. Very low noise and and microphonics. You will defintely notice a difference compared to cheap stock valves.

Nice warm tone
The tubes on my amplifier broke while I was moving and I wanted to get new ones without spending too much money - this was my first Electro Harmonix tube and it worked out great. I have since moved a few times and it has stayed in tact as well which is excellent.

Nice, reliable 6V6
When EH brought out this 6V6, guitar players everywhere gave a huge sigh of relief. Finally someone was producing an affordable alternative to NOS that kicked ass in the tone department and was able to survive the 6V6 torture test - the Deluxe Reverb. EH got it right.
The EH 6V6 can take high plate voltages while producing sweet, singing sustain or all out crunch. Physically it bares a close resemblance to the old RCA 6V6 with a rounded, oval plate structure, straight glass and rugged support spacers. This tube is OEM in most currently produced amplifiers that require a 6V6. This is the current industry standard with a well earned reputation for great tone and long life at a very affordable price. There's a new player in town that may give the EH a run for its money, check out the review on the JJ 6V6.
