Condenser Neck Worn Microphone
The Shure WCM16 is a neckband microphone with a permanently polarised condenser capsule specially designed for artists, lecture speakers and others, which combine the highest transmission quality with maximum freedom of movement when wirelessly using the microphone. Its large transmission range, low RF sensitivity and reliability even under extreme temperature and humidity conditions make the WCM16 ideal for almost any vocal application. Together with the Shure pocket transmitter, it offers qualities that hardly match the best conventional vocal microphones.
Miniaturised active electronics in the capsule provides for the optimisation of the frequency response in the bass range and provides warmth in the sound that larger microphones develop during close-range. Because of this bass adjustment, it is not necessary to position the microphone directly in front of the mouth, popping and breathing noises are avoided even without a windshield.
The hypercardioid characteristic of the microphone provide maximum isolation from ambient noise and nearby sound sources such as musical instruments, speakers and other artists. This allows for higher gain before feedback without signal loss or distortion of the voice.

Ein absolutes Spitzen-Kopfmikrofon

Ich habe mir das Shure als Ersatz für das Originalmikro mit Kugelcharakteristik meines Line6 XD-V55HS Sendersystems gekauft und kann sagen, dass ich vollkommen zufrieden damit bin. Supersound, Druck und klare Sprach- und Gesangsübertragung.
Der Sound des WCM16 hält mit jedem Beta58 mit. Und das Schönste ist, es passt absolut perfekt zum Line6-System, das gegen die Shure-Sender den Vorteil des digitalen, zukunftsicheren Systems hat. Das Mikro sitzt gut und fest am Kopf und ist ausreichend gut einzustellen. Warum Shure sich aber für dieses perfekte Mikro zu diesem "martialischen" Kopfbügel entschlossen hat, bleibt ein Rätsel. Da machen andere es besser und unauffälliger, auch bei größeren Mikrofonkapseln. Deswegen leider ein Stern Abzug. Alles in allem aber trotzdem eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung, besonders für Sendersysteme, die keine Kapseln mit Nierencharakteristik anbieten.
Für jeden, der Handmikrofone bisher vorgezogen hat, eine unbedingte Empfehlung, dieses Headset auszuprobieren: Absolute Freiheit bei bestem Sound, bester Rückkopplungsfreiheit t und fast nicht zu glaubendem Druck. Ich habe nie ein besseres Kopfmikrofon in den Händen gehabt.

Toller Sound, etwas steif in der Handhabung

Das Headset macht einen tollen Sound, sowohl bei Sprache als auch bei Gesang. Es hält recht stabil am Kopf. Hat man es zu eng eingestellt, beginnt es nach einiger Zeit unangenehm zu drücken. Man sollte es also einstellen und erst einmal probetragen bevor es live zum Einsatz kommt. Es wirkt klobiger und massiver als diese ganz dünnen grazilen Teile von DPA usw. , dafür macht es einen robusteren Eindruck. Dieses Headset läßt sich (und den Träger) nicht so schnell aus der Ruhe bringen.
