I have it for almost two weeks now, thereforе maybe it's time to share my opinion about it. I had the money to buy the Legend Standard, but in the end I chose this Performer, mainly because the passive electronic. And the white Spector is a classic, so... yeah. :D
This bass is not only beautiful, it plays amazing as well. The body is not curved like the high-end Spectors, but you cannot expect everything within this price range. With the two humbuckers you get this massive, big sound, but the tone controls for each pickup help not to get muddy. Actually you could get very punchy tone if you want to.
I absolutely love the neck profile. It perfectly fits in my hands. I mainly play 4-string basses, however the string spacing here didn't make any difficulties for me.
The build quality is really good. Metal knobs, the bridge is solid and the keys hold the tune. No fret-buzzing at all. Out of the box it was ready for playing - perfectly tuned with a fine setup.
There's just one problem - massive, and I really mean massive, neck-dive. The nato body is so light, it's like a toy and that makes this bass really neck-heavy. There's no balance at all here. It's fine if you are sitting while playing, but once you stand up, the struggle is real. For me it is not a big deal. My main bass is a Thunderbird, so I am used to it. But for many people this will be a deal breaker.
