The t.mix Rackmix 821 FX USB. 8 ch mixer. I was after a analog rack-mixer with fair amount of channels, to be able to use in production for Jungle/Drum n Bass, i tend to overdrive the mixer in sounddesign and like that this mixer has a lot of good fx "a bit oldskool sounding" in a good way and i also like the faders that give me good live control over volume. The t.mix Rackmix 821 FX USB is a awesome mixer and it delivers very good results, The 3 band Eq is good, the FX is really ok,.. 48v phantompower , line in and XLR inputs,... it has external fx send and it has also Bluethooth connectivity, Mp3 player/Recorder via USB stick memmory yes you read right it can record your mix! to a Mp3 file, AND i found out that the t.mix Rackmix 821 FX USB,...HAS! a USB audio in/out interface via the usb port too, but it uses a male A to male A usb cable to connect, and it is detected and shows as "JieLi BR21" in your computer, and ready to fly then, if one install the Asio4all driver then you got a killer low latency soundcard capability, I tested with 4 ms and it worked fine. I highly recommend this mixer if you want most "bang for the buck" and don´t need a ton of channels, I also would mention that it has Inserts on every channel, adjustable display,
The only Cons with this mixer is minor, one is the odd screew holes pattern when one place it in the rack either it fits in the upper or lower holes not both at the same time, AND the info and documentation i to say at least POOR, Thomann even stated that there where no USB audio functionality, but there is!
I am utterly pleased to have this mixer in my studio, highly recomend it. You wont find a better mixer at this pricetag,
Thanks Thomann ;)
