Get rid of loosening tuning rods
They work as intended; no more loosening tuning rods on your snare or toms. I play a lot of rimshots on the snare and the tuning rods under my left hand tend to loosen quite easily even after just a couple of hours of playing. Similarly, some tuning rods on the toms begin to come undone, especially after heavier hits. These tension locks prevent that from happening, at least nowhere near as fast. One pack is already enough to cover most of the problematic tuning screws, since you most likely need one or two per drum, and not a tension lock for every screw on a drum. I bought one pack and was able to cover two snares and four toms quite well.
If you have other than triple-flanged hoops, you might have some problems putting these in place. Happened to me with the diecast hoop on my snare, but not a major issue.

Works very well
I was looking for tension locks for a long time now, and only find bad reviews about other ones. Then Tama released those ones, and I bought them, without knowing if they works well or not. I used 10 of them for my snare for 2 months, and it stayed tuned for the 2 months. I bought 30 more for my whole kit in July, and I don't regret it. Re-tuning my drum every week is now a part from the past!

Would recommend cause half of the pack was basically not usable - they have that little red gum piece around the lug - which can easily jump out of it?s place and then the whole thing becomes useless...

Gimmicky
These “tensions keepers” are very gimmicky. They make tuning hard and the fly off of the tension sometimes under heavy hitting, the quality is decent, but it fails in terms of functionality.

But beware they are not like exact tight fit and sometimes if you play heavy they fly away !

Tama at it again!
Amazing product. Great for hard hitting drummers who always hit the snarehead with the rim of the drum.

Best Tension Locks
Definitely recommended, third time I buy them as they do exactly what they say – keep lugs in place. Being able to tune without having to get them off the drum is another huge pros.
I have tried different brands in the past, but they didn't work quite as well as these ones.
It's a shame they don't work on grooved hoops, but oh well!

Nice little gizmo.
I don't know yet. I just installed this on a my snare. My tuning is pretty medium and I have encountered loose lugs lately. This seems to work but I yet haven't seen the result. In all fairness...no loose lugs after 6 gigs so I guess they work pretty well... time only will tell. Pretty discreet unobtrusive and very easy to install and remove.

Super, functional design
I prefer these the the Tuna fish brand. I particularly like being able to make small adjustment to tuning with the locks in place.

AWESOME
I used these boys on two snares during the last Rock Meets Classic tour, with Mr Moritz Mueller on drums, who's a super heavy hitter. Snares were always almost perfectly tuned everyday! Can't wait to try these in the studio!
