Great No Brainer Buy!
Right, I'm a pro musician of 30years.
E Bass, Double Bass, Guitar.
I recently had one of my double basses needing a neck repair and picked up a new tailpiece while procrastinating about doing it.
I picked up this tailgut on a whim during a Thomann shop to go with the tailpiece.
So - a lovely little buy!
Really nice, easy to tie (look it up on line, it's an absolute doddle!)
Zero stretch, really stable.
It is also easy to adjust, which I had to do initially to get the right length I wanted.
It's not wire which I love!
Sound -
This went on a 1940's Cech solid body swell back 3/4 Bass.
I'm not the type of guy to say that the sound of this bass was massively changed by this, but it's so much nicer to have this on it than a piece of steel wire!
Con's - None
I picked up a small one for a violin for a fiddle player I know and he loves his, I'll be swooping the tailgut over on my other double bass as a result.
Highly recommended.

Works when it has settled
It was a simple task to fix the rope to the endpin, but the kevlar material stretches ALOT when tension is applied to the strings. This resulted in me untying and retying the rope three times before it finally settled. Now it is stable and there is no resonance or noise when the double bass is played.
