I'm disappointed when is comes to some details of the build and finishing the guitar. Most of all it regards to not equal spaces between the slots on the nut. It causes slipping the lowest E string from the frets when you play pull-offs and hammer-ons a little more dynamic way. It's really annoying. What is more, a several frets are unlevel (despite the fact that Martin uses PLEK machines!), so if you consider to set the really comfortable string action, you will get string buzzes because of this. There were also some marks of the glue in few places but I could handle with that. It's necessary to emphasize we're speaking of the global guitar brand with almost 200 years of heritage. It's also definitely should not happened with the guitar at this price level.
Well... All in all, despite that, I have decided to keep the guitar. This was the last piece of this model in Thomann. The guitar is very comfortable to hold and play. Sounds beautifully. Every halfway decent luthier will be able to correct the above mentioned defects. Just a few hundred more to spend :(
My general remark is at least since several years the most of the manufacturers have problems with the QC. Gibson, Fender, including Martin regretfully. Sad but true.
