Harley Benton guitars have a great following on youtube and that is why I felt tempted to give them a shot. My track record with Thomann is not very good, especially when it comes to instruments and that trend continues.
At first look the guitar looked fine out of the box but when i played it I was taken a back, the frets are so rough it is like gravel. Bending or vibrato feels like pulling a chain over a driveway. At first I thought it might have been dirt or rust but they or just extremely unpolished.
Pickups sound good but the poor setup of the guitar makes the volume across the strings very uneven(that coupled with vintage staggered pol piece-pickups).
The sticker says that the guitar passed QC in July and given that Thomann told me the guitar was gonna get a setup before it was shipped to me, two steps of QC has broken down.
Aside from the flaws the guitar looks nice but the neck is thick like nothing I have ever played, but still manages to feel kind of fast.
Sadly, not a possitive experience.
