Gibraltar SC-TCWN 8mm T-Style Wing Nut

This combined plastic cymbal sleeve and wing nut was originally a Tama design. And it was brilliant! The Gibraltar version is not. It's made of a lesser type of plastic material and it's threaded through the whole length of the cylinder whereas the Tama was threaded only on the top half or so. So there's a lot of spinning of the Gibraltar sleeve before it's securely in place. A lot! And it fits very tightly also, so spinning it (read: turning it quite forcefully) is a hassle. If you like to change out your cymbals from time to time (I do!) or break down your kit frequently this is a major consideration.
