Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen

After playing violin for a few years I decided to get an electronic violin and start recording covers and produce songs on my free time.

This Scarlet solo was one of the highly reviewed interfaces I found when searching for a way to connect my violin to the computer. I chose this because it looks solid and simple enough for me that has only one instrument.

The knobs feel great to turn and are simple and few to get quickly into play and record mode. The body is medal and I'm not afraid it will break when bringing it with me while playing with friends.

I really like the direct-monitoring feature that allows me to "hear" the violin when practicing since I only have a small NUX amp that have terrible headphone audio.

If something I would say the lack of a level-meter for the input that is reduced to a green, yellow and red indicator is a bummer sometimes. Since I'm busy looking at the computer screen or notes while playing and don't notice the instrument peaking. However it can be combated setting the volume level while playing "hard" on the instrument and increasing the output volume instead.
