Defective
I really wanted to love this guitar. Unfortunately, the headstock snapped off under light finger pressure after 1 week, despite meticulous care. Warranty was declined by Thomann.

Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Cherry
thanks to the excellent Thomann service the guitar was shipped weeks early-er.
fit and finish
had to give it a four star due to the 7th fret being to high.
otherwise the fret ends, nut, intonation, action (1.5mm), other frets, action at the first fret ... all is perfect.
hardware
toggle switch, tuners, potts, all good quality
sound
burstbuckers sound great
casing
good quality
neck dive is reasonable
if one takes in account the price of the casing, burstbuckers, and other apparel, its cheaper than the next in line Epiphone SG + a two piece body and one piece neck
on a personal not i found the satin finish a bit to dull, buffed the whole guitar lightly by hand.
not to a high gloss, but looks much better

Brilliant guitar.
I wanted to get an SG but didn’t want to spend a large amount on a Gibson. This is a great option as it has Gibson pick ups and and electronic parts inc. pots capacitors and wiring. Sounds great and feels good. Not custom shop quality to but for the money you won’t t do better. A superb value and comes with a nice Epiphone case too.
