Some presets don't track the highest notes on your guitar, others do... You have to learn to use that pedal. I'm pretty sure it opens new horizons for guitarists so it's as if you have to learn to play a new instrument. This becomes especially true in a band situation, because you will surely invade the territory of the synth guy if you have one. It tracks fast enough unless you try to play with surf speed.
