amazing sound
this was a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He had been in love with it, and loved it when he got it! My bf played this snare when he won the Metal Battle qualification for going to Wacken!
Looking very nice and eye-catchy.
Also had brilliant support from Thomann team who helped me to clarify all necessary shipping details AND find a matching drum case!

I don?t think i have ever been happier with somthing in my life. it sounds amzing, i love a real nice sharp sound and this got it, when i need that more damp bit of a sound i can tune it down loosen my snare and bang there it is, fits in perfectly with the music i?m playing. really easy tuned, love the ajudtment of the snare its so easy and simple but works a treat. and if your looking for a snare that packs a punch and looks great look no futhur, this one looks amazing i can?t say it enough nice colour and can still see the grain of the timber it fits together so well i?m delighted to own one, i really can?t say enough good things about it.

Very nice solid snare with super MAG snare tension . The sound is cool, better if you change batter head with one thicker that give you a better warm round sound ( Evans or Acquarian medium vintage )

Good snare
Is a very good snare. It has a very warm sound and it has a lot of good hardware features to tune it up. From the wires to the rods.
The only fault is not that easy to take the desired sound.

For the price this snare passed my expectations.
The throw off is snappy and smooth, the drum sounds great at low tunings and the build quality is great for the price range.
The bad bits are that it tends to de tune quite easily, its very hard to get the desired sound you are after and sounds a little flat at higher tunings.
I changed over both heads and it sounded awesome.
Great snare for the price but takes a bit of time to get it dialled in.

DW PDP 13"x07" Black Wax Snare
Amazing product! I enjoy playing it sooo much! I even put aside my aluminium and brass beauties for a while.
I used it in a studio recording recently and the sound is phenomenal! No EQ-ing was needed (albeit, I must also credit Evans HD Dry head, and Puresound wires)!
I am aware that sound preference is a subjective thing, so check it out in person before buying. But if you like 13" snares with a "snap" and on top of bassy end, you can't go wrong with this beauty.

Amazing for the price
This snare has blown all my expectations out of the closet. It's sound is crispy and it's well made. I would definitely recommend this drum to anyone, if 13' snares are what you're in to.
